Sampoerna Launches International
School Standards

Nenny Soemawinata, Managing Director of Sampoerna Foundation said there were as many as 200 students and students who have passed the rigorous selection process and managed to set aside more than 1,000 registrants from all over Indonesia to get full scholarships worth a total of 3.15 million U.S. dollars from the ExxonMobil Foundation.
The students are men and women chosen are those that have been set aside more than 1,000 applicants from various regions in Indonesia. The selection process is divided into five stages of rigorous selection, the selection of documents, academic tests, psychological tests, interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), as well as home visits for prospective students (home visits).
Sampoerna Academy Campus Bogor consists of students from all regions in Indonesia, including Sumatra, Kalimantan, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), for West Papua. In addition, a number of students or the students there as well from the operation of ExxonMobil, the Blora, Cepu and Bojonegoro, East Java.
Nenny further explained, the Sampoerna Academy is an international educational curriculum is adapted from Cambridge University with a national curriculum or the Education Unit Level Curriculum (SBC).
Meanwhile, Bogor regent, Rahmat Yasin says it supports the opening of the Sampoerna Academy school campus in Bogor Bogor, West Java. He hopes one day the school is able to print more students and student achievement and an example for other schools so that the quality of education in Indonesia continues to increase.
For information, Sampoerna Foundation in 2009 has opened the Sampoerna Academy in Malang, and Palembang, where male and female students in the majority coming from Malang East Java, while the students are girls in Palembang came from Sumatra and Kalimantan. The total of all the Sampoerna Academy students currently account for 993 students to 525 students and new students 2011/2012 applies. This year, Sampoerna Foundation Sampoerna Academy plans to inaugurate in Bali.
